The Enugu State Government says it has uncovered 3,916 ghost workers in the 17 local government council areas of the state.

The chairman of the panel and speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Edward Ubosi, also disclosed that N161. 5 million was found to be the difference in the wage bill after the exercise.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi commended the audit panel for its job and said it would go a long way in helping the state government curb fraud in the civil service.
