Chelsea ready to sell Oscar in summer transfer window

Midfielder Oscar is reportedly prepared to leave Chelsea in the close-season, ahead of Antonio Conte’s arrival as the Blues’ new permanent manager.

Under both Jose Mourinho and interim boss Guus Hiddink, Oscar has failed to play a starring role in the Blues’ XI, notching just three assists in 25 Premier League games.

The Brazil international has added to that with three goals – a tally he doubled in the title-winning 2014/15.

His form mirrors that of his team as a whole, who have endured an uncharacteristically miserable campaign in mid-table.

Furthermore, with Petr Cech having already departed and John Terry set to follow this summer, the west London club looks to be in a rebuilding stage ahead of 2016/17.

According to the Daily Mail, this period of upheaval in the transfer market is set to continue, with Oscar the latest Chelsea player ready to move.

The report claims that reigning Serie A champions Juventus are interested in a deal for the Blues’ No.8.

The Old Lady are also seeking to sign fellow South American Chelsea star Juan Cuadrado, the source suggests, as the Colombian has enjoyed a successful loan stint in Turin this season.

Since signing for Chelsea in 2012, Oscar has featured in 193 games, adding to his Premier League title with triumphs in the Europa League and League Cup.

This season, the playmaker’s passing ability has disappointed, with no Chelsea midfielder currently displaying a poorer accuracy than Oscar (81%).
