Robbie Savage isn’t a fan of Manchester City’s Jesus Navas.
Robbie Savage has called Manchester City winger Jesus Navas one of the most frustrating players in the Premier League following yet another inconsistent performance, the BBC report.
The Spain international winger has consolidated himself as a result first-teamer this season, largely due to injuries suffered by the likes of Samir Nasri, Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne.
Navas is both a World Cup and European Championship winner, yet for a player with such speed and ability to get in to good positions, his final ball is often his biggest weakness.
Co-commentating for the BBC during City’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal, Savage grew increasingly frustrated with Navas’ inability to make the most of his good positions and match his effort with a decent end product.
"For me, Jesus Navas is one of the most frustrating players in the Premier League. He's got space and everyone here is screaming for him to charge down the byeline and whip in a cross, but he never does it. Why?" The former Welsh midfielder said.
Despite his obvious limited ability in the final third, Navas has still grabbed seven assists this season, with only big-money signing Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva contributing more.
With Pep Guardiola set to arrive in the summer, many have speculated that the 30-year-old winger will be among the first to leave with the Catalan boss very much against reactive type players.
The draw with Arsenal leaves City in fourth spot in the table, though a Champions League spot is now out of their hands as Manchester United sit just two points behind with a game in hand.
