Rooney to quit United


Wayne Rooney’s trophy-laden spell at Manchester United could be coming to an end with the captain struggling for first-team football under Jose Mourinho this season.

  After arriving from the Goodison Park outfit for £27million in 2004, the England captain has enjoyed great success in Manchester and has helped the club secure five Premier League titles, a Champions League triumph and victory in last season’s FA Cup final.

Manchester United ready to offer Mourinho contract extension


Manchester United are set to extend Jose Mourinho’s contract at the club, after only seven months as their manager.
According to The Sun, the club’s heirachy will sit down with Mourinho at the end of this season, to discuss a one-year extension to the three-year deal he signed last summer.
United chiefs are reported to be impressed with the former Chelsea manager’s impact at the club, despite the fact they are currently outside the top four on the table.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has insisted he does not have any problem with Arsene Wenger, despite quotes in a new book saying he would “break his face”.
Journalist Rob Beasley, in his new biography of the Portuguese titled Up Close and Personal, revealed several conversations he had with Mourinho.
Asked if he felt let down by Beasley making his quotes public, Mourinho said: “You can see how close he was [to me]. I am happy. He made his money, that’s fine. That’s fine for me.

Age Scandal: Nigerian Footballer Said To Be 17 Times Older

A Nigerian Striker, Victor Emenayo, who was recently signed on to the Azerbaijani top division side Shahdagh Qusar FK has been implicated in an age falsification scandal by the Azerbaijani media 
Victor Emenayo who claims according to his international passport to be 23 years has been reported by the Azerbaijan media to be 17 times older than his claimed age.
Victor had before his move played in Uganda for the better part of his career and should be 28 according to internet search documents which stated his official age before his move to the Azerbaijan side.

Mourinho delighted with contribution of Rashford

Kingston upon Hull - Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes that Marcus Rashford is proving his value to the side after the young striker scored the late goal that defeated Hull City on Saturday.
Rashford hit eight goals in 18 matches for United last season, having broken into the first team in February, and went on to win a place in England's Euro 2016 squad.
However, the 18-year-old has been named as a substitute for all three of his club's Premier League matches so far this season and had not come on at all until Saturday's game, with Mourinho preferring new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic in attack.

Man Utd Pay Mino Raiola


Soccer agent Mino Raiola, who brokered the deal that saw Paul Pogba return to Manchester United for a world-record fee on Tuesday, may be loved by the players he represents, but he is not exactly held in high esteem by the clubs who employ them.

“I distrusted him from the moment I met him,” former United manager Alex Ferguson said of Raiola after he struck a deal to move Pogba to Juventus in 2012. “There are one or two football agents I simply do not like – and Mino Raiola is one of them.”

Manchester City sign John Stones for £47.5m


Manchester City have signed John Stones from Everton for £47.5m, making him the world’s second most expensive defender.

The 22-year-old England international has signed a six-year deal and is City boss Pep Guardiola’s eighth signing.

Stones was earlier named in City’s official Champions League squad, published on the Uefa website before the transfer was confirmed.
